The International Black Sea Folk Festival is a celebration of traditional folk music and dancing from around the Black Sea region. It takes place annually in July in the town of Shekvetili on the Black Sea coast of Georgia. The festival brings together performers from Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and other countries around the Black Sea.

The festival includes a variety of events, such as concerts, workshops, and cultural exchanges. During the day, visitors can attend workshops on traditional dance, music, and crafts, led by local and international artists. In the evenings, there are performances by musicians and dance troupes from around the Black Sea, showcasing the unique rhythms, melodies, and costumes of each region.

One of the highlights of the festival is the international parade, where performers from different countries march through the streets of Shekvetili in their traditional costumes, playing music and dancing. This colorful and lively procession is a celebration of the diversity and shared heritage of the Black Sea region.

In addition to the performances and workshops, the festival also features food and drink vendors selling traditional dishes and beverages from the Black Sea region. Visitors can sample local delicacies such as khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) and chakhokhbili (chicken stew with herbs and spices) and enjoy refreshing drinks like tarragon soda and kvass.
